OUR JEWELLERY QUALITY

At Spicy Mami we have three metal types, two of which are water resistant.
Brass coated with 18k gold and stainless steel coated with 18k gold are both water resistant, can be worn in the shower and will not rust and turn green as we do not use copper or nickel in these pieces.

Our third metal type is alloy. Please note these items are NOT water resistant. They are not made to be worn in the water so please be mindful of this.

 

HOW TO CARE FOR MY JEWELLERY

Our gold plated jewellery is water resistant. However, like all metals, it is still fragile and requires care to maintain it's quality and shine.
Our jewellery can be worn in the shower however we reccomend avoiding the pool & ocean as over time this can cause your products to tarnish.
Please also keep in mind other products such as hairspray, perfume and moisturisers which can cause your products to tarnish over time.
Please note that all metals oxidise naturally with time. Expect some natural tarnishing over time with wear. Cleaning and storing your jewellery correctly will help to minimise this. We recommend storing your jewellery in your Spicy Mami cloth pouches/gift boxes
